The Juniors had a successful trip to Legoland Windsor on Tuesday 30th June. We all set off from school at 8:00am and embarked on a three hour journey. Upon arriving in Legoland the Juniors were seperated into three groups, Year 3/4, Year 5 and Year 6 and the teaching staff and volunteers were dispersed amongst the three.
The first priority was to find an area where we could all sit down in some shade and eat our packed lunches. We found a grassy hill overlooking Mini Land where we could eat and look at the landmarks in front of our group. We then set off on our own paths heading for the rides and attractions of our choice. These included Vikings River Splash, Spinning Spider, Longboat Invader, Driving School, Pirate Falls, Laiser Raiders and many more.
Year 3/4 started their journey off with a walk around Mini Land to explore the famous land marks and locations. We stopped for a brief pause to stand for the National Anthem by the Welsh Village and Caerphilly Castle before heading off for our first ride, Spinning Spider. They then walked through to the Kingdom of the Pharaohs to put the knowlegde they have gained about Egypt to the test. The second ride of the day was the Laiser Raiders where we had to ride on a cart through the ancient temple using laser guns to scare away the creatures that hid in the dark! It was time to cool off so we took the Hill Train up to the giant lego T-Rex who shot a mist of water down onto the crowd below. Ice-cream time came next before going for a real soaking on the Viking River Splash rapids ride. A visit to the Longboat Invader pirate ship rounded off our experience before catching the Hill Train back up to the shops to buy gifts and a bite or two to eat and drink!!!

After a long, hot tiring day it was time to jump back on the bus at 4:00pm to head back home to school. After a brief stoppage due to a crash on the M4, we arrived back in school at 7:30pm.
